TULSA — Local white man Jack Bordon suffered involuntary commentary after viewing the 2023 American epic revisionist Western crime drama film, “Killers of the Flower Moon.”
“It started before I even saw the film, actually,” Bordon said, insisting on using the word film instead of movie. “And when I saw the film, it just began to build after I left the cinema.”
Bordon described a deep “ancestral-like” urge that welled within him. Eventually, it became too great for him bear.
“It was like that iconic scene in the ‘Alien’ film,” Bordon said. “It burst through my chest like tears flowing from a thousand eyes.”
Bordon started a 32-post long thread on the social media platform X, formerly known as go fuck yourself.
“I am not Osage, but I have some THOUGHTS,” the post began, and probably should have ended. Bordon went on to laud director Martin Scorsese for his “Herculean efforts” to accurately represent the story, which Bordon only recently learned about.
“What this country has done to Indigenous people is horrific,” Bordon said. “Great film, though.”
