PENSACOLA — Hailing the arrival of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, local man Jacob Aston praised President Trump for the achievement.
“Thank you, Mr. Trump,” Aston wrote in a post on Facebook. “Thank you for everything that you’ve done. You’re my favorite president. So handsome. I love you so much.”
Aston’s announcement comes after recent comments where he stated that he would be refusing to take the vaccine.
He cited concerns about potential side effects such as Bell’s palsy, irreparable changes to DNA, mind control, and being branded with the “mark of the beast,” a reference to an alleged connection between the life-saving medical breakthrough and the Antichrist from the Book of Revelations in the Bible.
Critics were quick to point out the contradiction.
“So which is it, Jake?” asked Facebook friend Jackie Curtis. “Who do you love more, God or Trump?”
Aston responded with an emoji of the American flag and the words “Trump 2020” despite Trump having lost the election more than 50 times in legal battles across the country.
